Strong flavoured, peppery and rich, wild rocket is incredibly flavoursome for a leafy green. It has a pungent flavour similar to the domestic rocket, but much stronger. That's why it is mainly used as an additional ingredient in salads or other dishes, and rarely on its own. Wild rocket is quite common in central Italy where it is used as part of the misticanza salad.
