Roveja, also known as roveglia, rubiglio, pisello dei campi (field pea) and corbello, is an ancient wild pea with distinctive flavour. Varying from brown to yellow, green or black in colour, they were once widespread throughout the Umbria-Marche Apennines, but have now almost completely disappeared because of the difficulty in cultivating this special pea.
