Fresh apricots are at their peak for only a short period, and do not keep or travel well. Drying is one method of preserving their goodness, and happily improves the flavour as well. These are rich, sticky and honey sweet. One of the most versatile dried fruits, apricots can be used in sweet and savoury dishes. These are made with Malatya apricots, Turkey's finest variety which, when dried, are incredibly sweet with a superb flavour. As opposed to supermarket versions, ours contain no added water which gives you a more natural product. If you prefer softer apricots, try soaking them in water or your favourite spirit.
