Our redcurrants are perfectly tart and with a full flavour. Classically, made into jelly and served with lamb or pâtes, this is a versatile fruit and will add dimension to many a dessert. In Ireland, historically, people went door to door in costume asking for buns made with red currants on Halloween in an effort to ward off the claws of death. A bit grim but, to be on the safe side, start baking!
