Vineyards: Grapes are all grown on the estate at Numana. The vineyards lie on the foothills of Monte Conero about one km from the coast.
Soil: The land is formed of brown calcareous soil overlying marl and gravel or sand, dating from the lower pliocene and pleistocene.
Grape Variety: Early harvested Montepulciano grapes.
Production: Only free-run must is and fermented with selected yeasts at controlled temperature. Tirage is done in the following spring. Bottle fermentation takes place in the cellars underneath the farmhouse where the wine is left in contact with yeast for at least 3-4 years. At dégorgement a small quantity of liqueur d'expédition is added.

Organoleptic qualities:
Colour: a distinct golden-pink tinge.
Bouquet: fruity and fresh, with nutty yeast-iness. Flavour: clean, dry and elegant.
