The 'classic'. This artisan gorgonzola has a lovely strong taste, intense marbling and a compact texture. It is a real classic! Gorgonzola piccante is relatively rare these days. Guffanti chooses from select artisan cheese makers, then seasons it themselves. It has been made by dairies belonging to the gorgonzola production and protection consortium and has been aged for at least 90 days.

This spicy gorgonzola goes very well with full bodied red wines, sweet wines like Vin Santo, rye bread and polenta.
